Privacy Policy

EU Stacks is committed to privacy by design. We collect as little data as possible and never sell, share, or monetize visitor information.

Who we are

EU Stacks (eustacks.com) is an independent European software directory that helps teams discover privacy-first, GDPR-compliant tools and infrastructure. The site is operated as an editorial project and does not provide commercial software services.

What data we collect

We take a minimal approach to data collection:

  • No cookies. This site does not set any cookies — not for analytics, not for tracking, not for advertising.
  • No personal data. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any personally identifiable information through normal site usage.
  • No fingerprinting. We do not use browser fingerprinting or any other technique to identify individual visitors.
  • No third-party trackers. There are no advertising networks, social media pixels, or remarketing scripts on this site.

Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which pages are popular, where traffic comes from). This service:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect personal data or IP addresses
  • Does not track individual visitors across sessions
  • Does not share data with third parties
  • Processes all data in compliance with GDPR

Because no personal data is collected, no consent banner is legally required for analytics under GDPR. We display a privacy notice as a transparency measure, not as a consent mechanism.

Local storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember a single preference: whether you have dismissed the privacy notice banner. This data is stored only on your device, never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is built as a static website using Astro and deployed via Cloudflare. As a static site, most requests are served from edge caches without a custom server runtime.

Cloudflare may process standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent, etc.) as part of its CDN and security services. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not access or store this metadata ourselves.

External links

This site contains links to external websites (tool vendors, documentation, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.

Fonts

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit a page, your browser makes a request to Google's servers to retrieve font files. Google may collect standard HTTP metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of serving these files. See Google Fonts privacy information for details.

Your rights under GDPR

Since we do not collect or store personal data, most GDPR data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) do not apply in practice — there is no personal data to act on.

If you believe we hold any personal data about you, or if you have questions about this policy, you can contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we introduce new data collection practices (e.g., forms, accounts, newsletters), this policy will be expanded to describe them in detail before they go live.
