# EU Stacks

> EU Stacks is a curated European software directory that helps teams discover privacy-first, GDPR-compliant tools and infrastructure stacks to replace US SaaS defaults. It covers tool profiles with compliance metadata, pre-built stack configurations, jurisdictional guidance, and practical procurement guides.

EU Stacks is an editorial project, not a commercial software service. It evaluates European alternatives across ownership structure, hosting region, certifications, and Schrems II exposure. All tools in the directory are assessed against criteria for EU/EEA hosting, data residency, and regulatory posture.

The site is built with Astro, deployed as a static site on Cloudflare, and uses Tailwind CSS for styling.
